Another new piece I completed, using a neutral, vintage-look palette. I hope you enjoy it!
Lately I’ve been experimenting with acrylics and paper, to create mixed media “paintings.” Here is another piece I completed this weekend. As always, thanks for letting me share.
For anyone who is trying to make a living in the arts or any creative endeavor, practical words of wisdom.
Sometimes I struggle making art, sometimes it flows, as this piece did. Being “in the zone” is a wonderful thing. As always, I hope you like what I do.
Finally, after a creative somewhat-sabbatical, I’ve been back in my workroom trying new things, stretching. Enjoy, and thanks for looking at my humble offerings.
I am finally beginning to feel creative and playful again, and here are the results of the weekend’s endeavors. They all combine acrylics and papers, with lovely layers and textures. I hope you enjoy looking at them.
I was able to shake off my creative doldrums last weekend and create this piece, one in a series of three celebrating nature. This piece shows what I love to do best: build up layers and invoke an element of mystery, using paints, pastels, and beeswax, leaving images partially hidden. There’s some wonderful texture in this piece. I hope you like it.
